Boomeranger Boats Ltd. is founded 1991 and is specialized in Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB) of the highest quality. Designed and built for professionals by professionals, these boats are developed in Finland for use in the harshest marine environments and meet the demanding requirements of military and defence clients.
 

Customers

All boats are delivered to defence clients, authorities, well-known civil organizations or selected companies. We do not serve leisure clients or undefined operators. Our customers include Navy and Special Forces, Border Guards, Search and Rescue Authorities, Police, Fire Departments, Customs and other professionals.
 

Quality

All projects are managed and built according to a strict quality system developed for Boomeranger Boats. Design and manufacturing is done in-house. We own the design of all of our boats and dimensioning of the hulls is done according to the operational requirements and engine selection. Craftsmanship, parts and materials of only the very best quality are used. For example, to guarantee strength, safety and a long lifetime no wood nor plywood is used in the boat structures.

The company holds a MED Module D Works Approval and follows a full ISO 9001:2008 Quality System (Certificate no FIHSK80414A). Our shipyard fulfills also the NATO AQAP-2110 and -2120 quality assurance requirements.  A completely guarded and isolated production area can be guaranteed for sensitive projects.

As a standard all Boomeranger RIBs are built to meet the Finnish Maritime Administration Commercial Craft Rules for boats under 24m (FMAW Rule <24m) which incorporates the Nordic Boat Standard, High Speed Craft rules and all significant ISO Rules into one package and is one of the few rules which takes into consideration RIBs. Alternatively, class rules, like Lloyds Register or DNV are applied if required by the customer.
 

Products

Boomeranger RIBs are delivered in size from 4 m (13 ft) to 14 m (46 ft) and from one man center console versions to cabins with berths.  In every project, naval architects of Msc. and Bsc. degrees are in charge of custom designs for specific needs or environments and guarantee a high quality of engineering already from the design stage of each project.

All manufacturing is done in Loviisa, Finland in our purpose built factory for GRP-boat manufacturing with separated ventilated workshops for lamination, aluminum production, tube works, electrics, and metal works.
